Expert Skills. Personalised Approach.
Please note that individual results will vary based on each person’s unique genetics, lifestyle factors, and overall health. As with any surgery, there are associated risks. It’s important to seek a second opinion from a qualified medical practitioner, such as a specialist Plastic Surgeon, before proceeding with any surgical procedure. Dr Maryam Seyedabadi (MED0001341746) is a registered medical practitioner with specialist qualifications in Plastic Surgery. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and has completed advanced post-fellowship training in aesthetic surgery, accredited by the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). Eyelid Surgery
Ageing can often lead to excess skin on the upper eyelids or drooping of the upper eyelid, which can cause visual obstruction and make your eyes feel tired, especially at the end of the day. Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a procedure that can be both functional and cosmetic, designed to optimise your vision and refresh your appearance.
Upper Blepharoplasty (Upper Eyelid Surgery)
Upper blepharoplasty is tailored to your specific needs, whether that’s removing excess skin, muscle, or fat. This procedure aims to restore the contour of the upper eyelids and improve your field of vision. It’s important to also check for eyelid ptosis, which is different from excess eyelid skin.
Ptosis Repair
Ptosis is a condition where the eyelid droops due to weak muscles or other factors and can either be something you’re born with (congenital) or develop over time with ageing or trauma. Dr Maryam will perform a full assessment to see if ptosis repair is needed, which can be done alongside or instead of a blepharoplasty, depending on your anatomy and needs.
Lower Blepharoplasty (Lower Eyelid Surgery)
Lower blepharoplasty focuses on correcting issues like excess skin, under-eye bags, and tear trough deformities. This procedure can reduce the appearance of tired or puffy eyes. Often, this surgery is combined with fat grafting to fill in hollows and further enhance the results.
Dr Maryam will guide you through the entire process, from your initial consultation to post-surgery recovery, ensuring your treatment is personalised to achieve the best possible results for both function and appearance.

Facelift
A face and or necklift (rhytidectomy/ meloplasty, and or plastysmopasty) is a surgical procedure designed to reduce the visible signs of aging by lifting and tightening the skin and underlying tissues of the face and neck. It addresses concerns such as sagging skin, deep folds, and loss of fat and muscle tone that can result from aging, sun exposure, or life changes. A facelift can help restore a more refreshed and rejuvenated appearance while maintaining your natural facial structure.
At MOT Plastic Surgery, Dr Maryam understands that each face is unique, and the decision to undergo a facelift is deeply personal. During your consultation, Dr Maryam will take the time to understand your specific concerns and create a tailored approach that suits your facial features, skin type, and desired outcome.
At MOT Plastic Surgery, Dr Maryam focuses on creating a facelift experience that reflects your individual goals and preferences. From the initial consultation through to your recovery, every step of the process is designed to be personalised and supportive, ensuring you feel informed and comfortable throughout your journey.
Dr Maryam has advanced training in deep plane face lift technique as well as others such as short scar and MACS and high SMAS lifts. She will guide you through the techniques and which is most suitable to address your concerns and allow you to reach your goals.
Brow Lift & Hairline Lowering
A brow lift is a surgical procedure designed to correct the position and shape of the eyebrows, enhancing both the function and aesthetics of your upper face. As we age, the eyebrows tend to droop and flatten, which can not only make you look tired but also create visual obstructions, giving the illusion of excess upper eyelid skin. Signs of brow ptosis (drooping eyebrows) include long horizontal skin folds at the outer corners of the eyes and the upper eyelids.
The brow lift procedure is personalised for each patient, with various techniques and scar positions depending on your specific needs.
During your consultation, Dr Maryam will carefully assess your face and eyebrows to determine which type of brow lift will achieve your desired results. Her goal is to not only address any functional issues, like vision obstruction, but also to rejuvenate your upper face in a way that complements your natural appearance.
The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia, and the duration of the surgery and recovery time will depend on the specific brow lift technique chosen for you. Dr Maryam will guide you through the process, ensuring that the treatment plan aligns with your goals and expectations.
Lip Lift
Over time, the distance between the nose and upper lip tends to lengthen, causing less of the upper lip and upper teeth to show, especially when smiling or talking. This change can be a subtle yet noticeable sign of ageing.
A lip lift is designed to restore balance by reducing the length of the skin between the nose and upper lip.
This procedure can be performed on its own under local anaesthesia. Dr Maryam will ensure the results are natural-looking and in line with your facial proportions.

Chin Surgery (Genioplasty)
Genioplasty, or chin surgery, is a procedure designed to correct facial proportions by adjusting the position of the chin. This surgery is suitable for individuals with either an excessively small or overly prominent chin. By moving the chin forward or backward, genioplasty helps create a more balanced and harmonious facial appearance.
For patients with a very small chin, a sliding advancement genioplasty can bring additional benefits, such as improving the appearance of a double chin and potentially even helping with conditions like sleep apnoea. By correcting the chin position, other facial features, especially the nose, will appear more proportional, enhancing the overall balance of your face.
Dr Maryam will carefully assess your facial structure to determine the best approach to achieve the natural, well-balanced look you desire.
Neck Lift
A neck lift is designed to enhance the contours of the jawline and improve the definition between the chin and neck, giving you a more youthful, sculpted appearance. The procedure involves re-draping the skin on your neck by removing any excess skin and addressing neck bands through a technique called platysmaplasty, which smooths and tightens the muscles in the area.
There are two main options for a neck lift, depending on your goals and needs:
Minimally Invasive Neck Lift: MyEllevate
MyEllevate is a cutting-edge, minimally invasive technique that was invented by Dr Greg Mueller, a renowned plastic surgeon in the U.S. Dr Maryam was one of the first plastic surgeons in Australia to be trained by Dr Mueller in this procedure. MyEllevate focuses on creating a defined jawline using a combination of liposuction, a specialised MyEllevate suture to contour the jaw, and energy-based skin tightening (Renuvion). This technique can also address neck bands to create a smoother, firmer look.
Complete Neck Lift
A complete neck lift is a more comprehensive option, suited for patients with excess skin and significant signs of aging in the neck area. This procedure although more invasive addresses sagging skin and neck bands to deliver a more dramatic and long-lasting result.

Both procedures are tailored to your individual needs, ensuring the best possible outcome for a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. Dr Maryam will work closely with you to determine which option aligns with your goals.
Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty)
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to reshape or repair the nose. This surgery can address both cosmetic concerns—such as altering the size, shape, or overall appearance of the nose—and functional issues, like improving breathing difficulties caused by structural problems.
Many individuals seek rhinoplasty for different reasons. Some may want to correct a prominent bump, refine the tip, or narrow the nostrils to achieve better facial harmony. Others may require the procedure to fix a deviated septum, repair injury-related damage, or resolve breathing issues. In some cases, the procedure combines both cosmetic and functional improvements.
Dr Maryam Seyedabadi takes a personalised approach to each rhinoplasty, ensuring the results enhance both the appearance and function of the nose while maintaining a natural, balanced look that complements the rest of the face.
Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)
Otoplasty, also known as ear pinning surgery, is a procedure designed to reduce the prominence of the ears by setting them back closer to the head and recreating the natural folds of the ear. It’s often chosen by individuals who feel self-conscious about their ears sticking out and want to achieve a more balanced, natural appearance.
This surgery is performed in a hospital under a general anaesthetic as a day surgery. During the procedure, a small incision is made in the fold at the back of the ear, which helps to keep any scarring hidden. After the surgery, your ears will have a more refined and less prominent look, restoring balance and harmony to your facial features.
Dr Maryam will guide you through the process, working with you to achieve results which look natural and complement your overall appearance.

Liposuction & Skin Tightening
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes fat deposits from targeted areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, arms, and under the chin. While liposuction is not a weight loss solution, it is used to sculpt the body by eliminating localised fat that is resistant to other methods.
For patients looking to further enhance their results, skin tightening procedures can be combined with liposuction to address any loose or sagging skin that may occur after fat removal. This dual approach ensures a smoother, firmer contour, giving you a more toned appearance.
At MOT Plastic surgery, each treatment is tailored to meet your individual needs and goals. Liposuction can also complement other procedures like abdominopasty/tummy tucks, facelifts, or arm lifts for a more comprehensive body transformation.
Skin Cancer
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, making skin cancer detection and treatment a critical health issue for many individuals. The three main types of skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and melanoma.
Each of these presents different risks and requires careful, individualised treatment plans.
At MOT Plastic Surgery, Dr Maryam takes an integrated, patient-focused approach to skin cancer treatment, combining both medical expertise and reconstructive care to ensure patients not only receive effective cancer removal but also experience minimal aesthetic impact.
Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC)
It typically presents as small, pearly bumps or patches of skin that may bleed easily. While BCC grows slowly and rarely spreads, it can cause significant damage/deformity if left untreated, particularly in areas like the face, neck, or ears.
Dr Maryam works closely with Moh surgeons, dermatologists and skin cancer specialists to ensure that any BCC is promptly diagnosed and treated. The goal is to remove the cancerous cells while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible, especially in highly visible areas. Following removal, Dr Maryam offers expert reconstructive options to ensure your appearance is minimally impacted.
Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC)
SCC is more aggressive than BCC and can spread to other parts of the body if not treated in time. This cancer typically appears as rough, scaly patches or sores that do not heal. SCC is most commonly found in sun-exposed areas, though it can develop anywhere on the body.
At MOT Plastic Surgery, Dr Maryam ensures that each SCC case is handled with care, focusing on removing the cancer and reconstructing the affected area to minimise scarring and maintain natural appearance.
Melanoma
Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer and can be life-threatening if not detected early. It typically appears as a new or changing mole, with irregular borders, multiple colours, and rapid growth. Melanoma can spread quickly, making early intervention critical.
For many patients, this involves significant removal of skin, especially in facial or prominent areas. This is where Dr Maryam’s expertise in post-cancer reconstruction becomes essential, ensuring that the aesthetic impact is minimised while prioritising patient safety and health.
Post-Mohs Reconstruction
Mohs surgery is a highly precise technique used to remove skin cancer layer by layer, allowing for the preservation of healthy tissue while removing all cancerous cells. While Mohs surgery is effective at eliminating skin cancer, it often leaves defects in the skin that require reconstruction, especially in sensitive areas like the face.
Dr Maryam is highly skilled in post-Mohs reconstructive surgery, ensuring that patients not only have the cancer fully removed but also have the affected area restored in a way that maintains both function and appearance. Each reconstruction plan is personalised to meet the specific needs of the patient, whether the goal is to minimise scarring, restore natural contours, or address more extensive tissue loss.
At MOT Plastic Surgery, Dr Maryam’s focus on patient well-being means you can expect a journey that is both supportive and empowering. She understands the emotional and physical challenges that come with a skin cancer diagnosis, and her approach ensures that patients feel confident, informed, and cared for every step of the way.
Whether you are seeking treatment for skin cancer or undergoing post-Mohs reconstruction, Dr Maryam’s patient-first philosophy is centered on helping you navigate this challenging time with compassion, care, and expert attention to detail.
